Administrative Procedure â€“ Relations With The Illinois High School Association
The Administrative Regulations outline the procedure for informing the Board of Education of proposed revisions in the bylaws of the Illinois High School Association (IHSA).
Section 1 - Responsibilities of Principals
The Principals shall forward to the Superintendent a copy of the ballot and supporting documents pertaining to bylaw revisions as soon as the materials are received by the Principals.
Section 2 - Responsibilities of the Superintendent
The Superintendent shall forward to the Board the information received from the Principal pertaining to proposed revisions in the bylaws of the IHSA. The Superintendent may include additional comments if a bylaw revision has significant impact upon the District. The Superintendent shall invite comments from the Board pertaining to the proposed bylaw revisions prior to the deadline for returning the ballot to the IHSA. The Boardâ€™s comments shall be a guideline to the Districtâ€™s IHSA delegates.
